The CIT program at Pegasus is designed to be so much more than assisting in the classroom. Our goal is to help each CIT build the skills and knowledge they need for future roles as camp counselors, childcare providers, or educators. Here’s what makes our program unique:

• Weekly Mentoring Sessions: CITs receive guidance on classroom observation, reflection, and feedback, ranging from foundational to advanced topics.

• CIT Team Meetings: Weekly meetings provide opportunities for CITs to share experiences, collaborate, and learn from each other.

• Leadership Opportunities: Returning CITs mentor new participants and, during their final CIT week, lead an activity for the children they’re assigned to.

• Participation Certificate: At the end of the program, all CITs will receive a certificate recognizing their dedication and accomplishments.

In addition, we are excited to announce a special training session for all CITs in June (date TBD) to ensure everyone feels prepared and confident heading into the summer. CITs are also invited to participate in all-staff training at the end of June, giving them a chance to connect with the broader Pegasus team.

Program Details:

• Dates: June 30 to August 8, 2025

• CIT Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

  • Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays: Assignments to homeroom teams

  • Wednesday: If participating on this day, there will be a field trip scheduled from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

  • Fridays: Special events

• Sessions: CITs can participate in one or both sessions but must commit to the full three weeks of the session(s) they select.

Fees:

• • New CITs:

    • 1 session (3 weeks): $200

    • Both sessions (6 weeks): $350

  • Returning CITs:

    • 1 session (3 weeks): $175

    • Both sessions (6 weeks): $325

Limited Availability:

Please note that space is limited, and availability will be determined after the interview process. Once interviews are completed, we will confirm participation and provide details about orientation and payment of the program fee.
