Pegasus and STEAM Explorers Open House Thursday June 25th
We are excited to invite families to our Pegasus and STEAM Explorers Open House on Thursday, June 25, from 4:00–5:30 PM at Claypit Hill Elementary School.
This will be a great opportunity to:
✔ Pick up your child’s summer packet
✔ Meet the summer teachers and staff
✔ Tour the classrooms
✔ Explore our resource tables
✔ Ask questions and learn more about the program
Special Family Activities During Open House
4:00–4:30 PM | Water Safety Presentation
Our Water Safety Presentation is designed for both parents and children and provides practical, life-saving information in a fun and interactive format. Through engaging activities and demonstrations, families will learn simple habits that help keep children safer around water, including:
✔ Layers of protection to help prevent drowning
✔ Water safety rules for pools, lakes, and beaches
✔ The importance of active supervision
✔ What to do in an emergency
✔ Safety tips for young children and beginner swimmers
4:30–5:30 PM | Polymers Activity Station
Discover the ooey-gooey origins of plastic and explore why plastic is so difficult to break down. Children will participate in a hands-on science experience and create their own slippery polymer to take home!
