Hi 5th graders,
I hope you had a nice Spring Break! This week, we are continuing to focus on acting skills. Those of you who sent me videos did an amazing job acting and speaking clearly. It was really fun to watch you perform! Keep those videos coming! Here is the lesson for this week.
CLICK HERE to watch a video about developing a clear acting voice.
Choose a new monologue from last week's list below to act out to show me your range of acting skills. When actors have range they are able to perform a variety of roles (happy, sad, hero, villain). If you did not send one before break be sure to send one this week. Remember to not worry too much about your recording. I am the only one who sees it and this all part of developing a new skill.
Send your recording to: Kimberley_Davis@wayland.k12.ma.us
Have fun!
Ms. Davis
Hi 5th grade,
This week's lesson focuses on acting skills. First, watch THIS VIDEO for some acting tips by kids for kids. Second, read through the monologues below and pick your favorite. There is also an option at the end to write and perform your own monologue if you'd prefer! A monologue is a longer speech made by only one actor in a play or movie. Practice reading it out loud many times adding emotion, speaking slow, and articulating (saying words clearly). Afterwards, record yourself and e-mail to me. This is NOT an audition, just a fun opportunity to practice your acting skills and get some feedback. I can't wait to hear you!
