COSTS TO CONSIDER


Students who are selected for the program will be covered under the College's travel policy and international SOS. 


An immersion deposit and fee of $500 will be applied to your College account upon selection. It includes travel insurance and International SOS service. 


Return airfares for your child. It is a requirement that all students who are selected as a group for travel to Buenos Aires, must transit together on the same flight. We will work with families to assist with this process through a group booking. Flights are expected to cost between $2500-3000


Students will also be requested to have spending money, which although being completely personal, we recommend having $500 available - preferably charged through an international money card that is easy to use with ATMs and in stores. 


It is important to note that families are required to cover the cost of hosting. This includes all meals, home requirements (spare room, washing, and any travel you undertake with your Argentinian host student). Please remember that this is reciprocated by the family that then hosts your son. Normally families hosting will make a strong effort to show the student parts of Sydney and Australia. St Catherine's and PLC have noted that because the Argentinian families that hosted their son took the skiing near Patagoina, to the Iguazu waterfalls, or a famous football match, they made a real effort to take them to places like Uluru or Darwin or to Byron Bay to experience parts of Australia. Most students are still in contact with their host families many years later - as the trust and love from these friendships became incredibly strong.
