Gear Vision

The Wausau School District has built a strong foundation for the integration of technology into Instruction and Curriculum. There is a need to continue formalizing practices that encourage personalized learning in a digitally accessible format both inside and outside of school. It is important to continue working towards the consistent integration of real world learning supported by rich immediate feedback supporting learning and informing instruction.

District Goals

The Wausau School District will review and select a set of 21st Century Learning skills that align with student need and align with stakeholders. The skills will then be integrated into all curricular areas.

Educators leverage technology and diverse learning resources to personalize the learning experience for each student.

Establish a culture of digital innovation, where stakeholders plan, build, and sustain a digital learning environment where technology and digital resources are seamlessly aligned with curriculum, interaction, and assessment as integral to the learning process.

Develop and communicate a plan that articulates the value of authentic and rich learning in K-12 Education.
