School Social Worker

The school social worker works collaboratively with other staff members and outside professionals to provide for the many adaptive, social-emotional, behavioral, personal, family, and community needs of students. The school social worker also provides planning and leadership, as well as consultation and collaboration with staff, parents, and community organizations to meet the students' needs. Family contact is a major function.
