These are the norms for virtual school meetings. 1. Be aware of the clothes you are wearing & recording environment. Make sure both are appropriate for school. 2. The teacher will let you know what supplies to have handy ahead of time. 3. Start each session with an inclusion activity 4. Be present (limit distractions, like cell phones) 5. Have video on, but mute your microphone when not talking. 6. Be stationary 7. Use hand signals Thumbs up= “yes” Thumbs down = “no” Cup Ear = “Can’t Hear You” Enable captions. 8. Use chat for on topic questions and answers. 9. Don’t use texting or chat abbreviations - try to use correct spelling & grammar. 10. Limit use of all caps, exclamation points and strong language. 11. Extend patience and grace. This is all new for everyone.
