Unloading will be in the circle drive on the east side (look for the yellow wall and huge W). Come in the main doors for Field House. Use side door (just left of Field House) for moving in set pieces or if you need wider door. Coaches, check in when you get here to introduce yourself! Also, bring any sub cards or let us know of any drops in your lineup.
Remember (3) comment sheets for each performing group. Copies will be available in the office for $.50 each in an emergency.
Trigger Warnings: Schools have the option to put a “sticky” note on a comment sheet. If they are in doubt whether to attach it to the comment sheet or not, they SHOULD attach it. It would read “This is a trigger warning. The scene you are about to see contains depictions of violence (or sexuality or….). The Room Chair will read the trigger warning prior to announcing the School Code/title. This allows for any audience member to leave the room prior to the beginning of the scene
Remind students and parents to be early to centers and to keep halls quiet. Cell phones are to be turned off in centers.
The gym is the place to store your team’s props, coats, etc. Please make sure your group cleans up at the end of the day.
NO food outside of the cafeteria.
There will be warm-up rooms for musical theatre and choral reading. See maps and signage. No stereos in the gym.
IF you need risers for Reader's Theatre, contact Jacki Pleggenkuhle ASAP using this form: ISSUES/ITEMS/NEEDS FORM after the schedule comes out.
Ratings will be posted during the breaks in the schedule. You may collect your comment sheets in the office after all of your ratings have been posted. If you do not plan to stay, leave a stamped envelope for your comment sheets.
Remind your students and parents to eat here. We have a selection of yummy treats. See food tab.
Remember your own equipment for playing film, radio, and TV.
Remind performers that there is NO oral comments from judges at the state level contest.
