Hello! My Name is Ms. Elizabeth Schorr. This is my tenth year as a music teacher, and my fourth as a teacher at the Cunniff School. I live in Waltham, and I enjoy traveling & being with friends and my amazing family. I love elephants, and was lucky enough to meet some in Kenya! I grew up in The Woodlands, Texas where I attended Colin Powell Elementary. When I was 13, I moved with my family to Pennsylvania, where I graduated from Council Rock North High School in 2011.
In December of 2015, I graduated with a dual Bachelors of Music in Music Education and Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from The University of Hartford’s The Hartt School. I am certified in John Feierabend's First Steps in Music and Conversational Solfege I and II. In May of 2020 I finished my Masters Degree in Music Education with an emphasis on Curriculum and Instruction at Boston University. I recently completed my 200 hr yoga teacher certification through Breathe for Change. I love learning, and look forward to continuing to learn together in our classroom at the Cunniff School!
I not only LOVE teaching music, but I also am in a vocal band called Elevate where I perform in the greater Boston area. I also work with the South Shore Children's Chorus as the Upbeat Choir Director. Making music with others brings me such joy. I am the oldest sibling, and have two younger sisters. I love yoga, hiking and being outdoors in the warmer weather, and also spend my winters skiing!
