Drill practice is at 6:30 every weekday except Wednesday.
A military drill team is a marching unit that performs routines based on military drills for Drill Meets. Military drill teams perform either armed or unarmed routines. Participating in a drill team assists in the creation of bonds between new or old cadets and their instructors in many ways, one of which is singing the Air Force Cadence. The Drill Team competes in unarmed regulation, armed regulation, and color guard.

The Raiders group is made up of several athletic cadets who perform extra physical training in order to better their athletic abilities in preparation for competitions.

The Marksmanship Team is a group of cadets that shoot air rifles with .177 caliber pellets at a silver dollar-sized target from about 10 meters away. Shooting is done in three positions: prone (lying), standing, and kneeling.

The Color Guard is a uniformed group of cadets skilled in presenting the colors. The Color Guard presents the Flag of the United States and the Flag of Iowa to everyone on special occasions such as home sports events, Veterans Day, and drill meets.
The Academic Bowl Team is made up of five cadets who practice for academic competitions
The Rocketry Club is a group of several cadets interested in rocketry and building their own rockets. They perform all the necessary calculations for knowing how far and when their rockets will land, in addition to how far they will travel.
The Military Ball Committee organizes and prepares for the corps's Military Ball that takes place at the end of every school year. They meet after school every Monday.
