Service Learning

We made birthday cards and sent them to Ava, a 10 year-old girl from Altoona with cancer that had a birthday wish for many birthday cards.

Our classroom along with Mrs. Blair's classroom have partnered up with Jean Seeland from the Volunteer Center of the Cedar Valley to provide our students with Service Learning opportunities. This is the page where you will be able to find monthly updates about our projects that we complete.

What is Service Learning?

Service learning is a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities (Learn and Serve America National Service Learning Clearinghouse).
