About Us

My name is Kim Henning, I was born and raised in Waterloo and graduated from West High; so I truly believe in the Waterloo Community School District. This is my fifth year of teaching; I graduated from UNI in 2012 and am currently pursuing my masters in special education through Morningside College. In my free time I enjoy camping, shopping, and reading.

Shatora Jones is one of my associates; this is her third year with the Waterloo Community Schools. She was born and raised here in Waterloo. She graduated from the University of Iowa and relocated to Nebraska where she worked in education for six years. Shatora is currently pursuing her CDA. She is happy to be back in Waterloo with her family. Shatora and her husband have three children. In her free time she enjoys dance, reading, and shopping.

Stephanie Gates is another one of my associates; this will also be her third year with the Waterloo schools. Stephanie grew up here in Waterloo. She was a licensed in-home child care provider for eight years before coming to Kittrell and also has her CDA. Stephanie and her husband have three daughters. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, baking and spending time with her family.
