Even in Kindergarten, kids can begin learning basic coding concepts. The activities below will help students understand these 5 coding concepts:
Algorithms - an instruction given in order to complete a certain task and receive the desired result
Sequences - completing a task in a certain order
Loops - will repeat until you give instructions for the computer to stop
Decomposition - breaking down problems into smaller more manageable steps
Branching - making a decision depending on what is happening or what has happened
Be sure to ask your child about Code-a-Pillars, Osmo and Bee Bots after their Hour of Code event at school!
Hope you can enjoy some of these sites as a family!
