TREP$ is an exceptional program allowing young entrepreneurs a real-world experience in grades 5-8, where they are able to launch their own business. Students work each week on gaining knowledge, while growing each week, for their end result of selling products to others at a marketplace December 17th. 

Students understood the importance of goods, versus a service, and having a product available to hand-off with payment. Throughout workshops, students were able to:

• Add and subtract to answer profit and loss problems

• Gain critical thinking in all steps of business planning

• Multiply and add to calculate expenses

• Spell and write to create business plans  

• Read and research to learn more about business

• Divide to determine the cost to produce “one” unit of product

• Work on creative writing to make advertisements

• Collaborate with others by working in teams

• Estimate for inventory planning

ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY. 

You are expected to be in Room 234 by 3pm and ready to collaborate and work. Our Meetings are from 3-4:20 PM and we will have approximately 6 Workshops / meetings not including MarketPlace Day. We will be learning, working hard, and preparing for that special day.  Participation in the workshops is crucial. If you are absent from school that day or leave early, you must send a message and contact Ms. Stanczak.

WHAT IF I AM INVOLVED IN ANOTHER CLUB?

If you are involved in another School Activity that also meets on Thursdays, you must communicate that with us and you are still expected to attend half of the workshop/meetings on that day.  You are expected to be in the Treps Workshop 3:45 until 4:20. 

 Additionally, you MUST have pre-read and become familiar with the Lesson for the Workshop that day.  The Lesson will be posted on Treps Google Classwork.  Remember to Inform your other Coaches & or Team Leaders that you will need to leave early or arrive late.
