ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Erin Woodbury. This is my fifth year as a school counselor for La Verkin Elementary School and I am so happy to be a La Verkin Cub. I love the work that I do and getting to meet all the awesome kiddos here at school. I am here to help and look forward to another great school year!
I graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelors degree and then again with a Masters of Educational Psychology - School Counseling degree. I am a certified licensed school counselor(k-12) in the state of Utah.
I am happily married to my best friend. We have 4 amazing kids: 2 boys and 2 girls. My family is one of the best parts about me. I love to travel, watch my kids do all the things, read, relax, and have fun!

THE COUNSELOR'S ROLE
An Elementary School Counselor performs the vital role of setting the tone for developing the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary for children to become healthy, competent, and confident learners. Through a comprehensive developmental School Counseling Program, counselors work as a team with parents, school staff, and the community to create a caring climate and atmosphere. By providing education, prevention, early identification and intervention, school counselors can help all children to achieve academic success and reach their full potential.
