It is an honor and privilege to be a Dixie High Flyer. I absolutely love how much pride each of the students, teachers, and staff have for being a Flyer. We are a school of great pride and traditions. Dixie has a dynamic staff that is dedicated to the profession of education. Our staff strives to maintain high rigor and an engaging learning environment in order to create life-long learners.

Dixie High School is rooted in a strong tradition of excellence. Our students take pride in their achievements in and out of the classroom, excelling in athletics, music and the arts. Truly Dixie offers a well-rounded education.

Our high school continues to embrace new instructional ideas to ensure our students are provided a competitive educational experience. The success of our students is only made possible by the dedication of our community. By working together as a school system we can continue the traditions and excellence that distinguishes the students and graduates of Dixie High School.

We, as a faculty and staff, are SO excited to have you as a part of our Family. The Flyer Family is truly one that I'm proud to be a part of.

Like with any family, you will get out what you put in. As you look for opportunities to learn and grow as a part of this family, you will be rewarded by your hard work. You will also see daily chances to help and serve those around you. Through this service you will make our Flyer Family bond even stronger.

Our Flyer Family is only complete with every one of our students. I encourage you to love these days walking these halls, have each other's backs, and you will have life-long experiences that you will never forget. The Dixie High Flyer Family is filled with the students that make this THE DIXIE high school. For over 100 years, fellow alumnus have been a part of this same tradition that you are part of now, and no other high school in St. George can say this. You are now a part of the "Dixie Spirit" that so many others have helped build. Many of you have had family members attend Dixie and some of you are the first in your family to attend; either way, you get to start a legacy that will be part of Dixie High’s long tradition. Remember, you are a Dixie Flyer, True Blue!

I’m excited in starting a new school year, and I know you are too. Dixie High is a special place and very close to my heart. I know you can feel the same way if you just take a small step and get involved. Being involved is the only way to make your high school experience truly fulfilling. Remember you’re only in high school one time, from then on you’re an adult. So get involved in the many different clubs that Dixie High has to offer. Please attend all the dances--what a great way to meet new people and make new friends. Join the Flyer team; this can be done by playing or cheering loudest at all the games. Our teams cannot be successful without your participation. Again, nine months is very short; before long the school year will be over and all you will have left will be the memories. Start now and create some awesome memories that will last a lifetime. Flyers Forever!
