Coaching Offerings

Coaching FAQ's

What is coaching? Coaching is having someone walk beside you as you grow as a professional, gain skills, and problem-solve. We pinpoint what you need or how you want to grow, set goal(s), and make a plan. My job is to gather data and provide the resources you need to meet your goal.

Don't you just work with new teachers? As a coach, I work with everyone in our school. I facilitate the EYE program with new teachers (in years 1-3), but I am available for all of you and I love working with veteran teachers, staff, and teams.

Will it be more work for me? As someone who is still teaching, I get the struggle! Coaching is customized for your needs, and I promise I'll do all I can to make it worth your time. I am respectful of your time and keep coaching sessions focused. Whether we do formal coaching or just bounce ideas: I am here for each of you.

Are you judging, evaluating or are you secretly an admin spy? Nope! Coaching is confidential and our administrators are very aware of respectful of that. I only gather the data you want or need and I do not evaluate. After years of seeing my teacher friends struggle, I really wanted to become an instructional coach because I see how teachers need that extra layer of help and encouragement in a challenging career. I'm friendly, trustworthy, and sincere.

School-Wide Coaching Offerings

I offer monthly Lunch and Learns where we come together to share best practices and learn new strategies. Many teachers present at these lunches and it's been helpful & fun to hang out and talk shop.

I facilitate a Whole Teacher Wellness cohort to learn skills to help learn career/life balance, set boundaries, and develop emotional regulation to find joy in our profession. More information on this one is coming.

I also host Learning Walks that all faculty and staff will have the opportunity to participate in. Additionally, I can facilitate Learning Walks if you have colleagues in other schools you wish to observe or want to observe other teachers in your department.

Individual/Team Coaching

PLC Team coaching ideas: creating a mission statement, setting norms, organizational support, crafting agendas, team leadership, student work analysis, peer-coaching/observations, etc.

Individual coaching is customized for you! Here are some ideas of what we can do together: working the coaching cycle, goal setting, curriculum design, resource sharing, student work/data analysis, burnout prevention, teaching strategies/procedures/routines, data collection, efficiency, organization, interpersonal relationships, and any kind of support you need. The possibilities are endless! I would love an opportunity to work with everyone!
