Title: The cozy kettle
Michelle M.
Where I got my inspiration:
I got inspiration from a couple of local cafes. I decided to create the Cozy Kettle as the cafes here in town don’t have enough space for friends and family to hangout in. So I took inspiration from that to create a cafe that is not only cozy, but also one for people to hang out in or to just enjoy that warm fresh smell of coffee while working or studying. But the whole idea that started it was that I wanted to create a cafe that not only just served but also allows people to interact in a nice and warm space without feeling cramped in a small cafe building.
Tools/software/app/websites I used:
Ibis Paint
Creative Process:
Forming an idea
Creating and thinking of what to add to the logo
Putting it together
Adding detail
Finish it by adding the name to the kettle.
RUBRIC: Logo Design (Individual Event)
In this competition, you get to design your own logo!
Your logo should include pictures, symbols, and words that you create yourself. You’ll use a computer program to put everything together and make a logo that shows off your ideas and message
It’s your chance to be creative and design something that stands out and tells a story—without using too many words
Use your own ideas and artwork. You can use a site like Canva to help you make your Logo, but what you cannot do is just use one of their templates and change a couple of things. We want to see YOUR creativity, not Canva’s!
Write about how you made your product. Tell what tools you used and the steps you followed from start to finish. You can use this template if you want.
Product is in the correct category and can readily be accessed online by judges via the team provided URL. All category requirements are met.
You followed the rules about using other people’s work:
You had permission to use any images, music, or ideas (not just cite where you got it from, show you had permission)
Everything is school-appropriate.
You made the project yourself — no AI here
Your logo is one-of-a-kind and sticks in people’s minds. It’s creative and unique! You can use a template, but this score will be lower because that’s not one-of-a-kind!
Your design clearly represents the company, product, or idea it’s meant for.
The colors and images you used match the feeling or mood you want to give off (fun, serious, exciting, etc.).
All the parts of your logo—shapes, colors, words, and pictures—fit together in a way that makes sense.
The space you didn’t use (called “negative space”) also helps your design look great and stand out.
Your logo is neat, simple, and easy to look at. It doesn’t feel messy or confusing, and people can understand it quickly.
You completely explain how you made this product from start to finish, including what tools you used, and any templates you may have used. If you used anything you didn’t make yourself, permission to use that media is included.
