Mammoth cave once welcoming millions of tourists, has now been taken over by a giant. Ever since the park lost funding from the federal government, he has taken control of the cave and has taken control of the spiders and darkness that dwell in the cave. It is said that he uses them to send his guests to their graves. At 2:33 AM, a call came in to the Cave City 911 Dispatch Center with a distressed 15-17-year-old boy who snuck into the cave to explore it. This cave has been off limits to foreigners, but not completely closed. A sign had been posted all around the entrance, but now there are decrepit voices whispering about the dangers inside. Not 1 person has stepped inside since 2 teenagers went missing 12 and a half years ago until now. Parents have shared the story of the cave with their children in hopes of preventing them from entering, but Noah did the opposite. He has always had an eye for adventure and defiance. He had been planning for months to enter the cave to find out the truth and share the stories of the cave, not strangled in folklore. He had read that before the cave was restricted, management had just provided cellphone access in the cave for guests to enjoy. In the article, it reads that they had a 15-year contract securing this service in the near future. After he packed his bags, he departed his house at 11:59 PM so he could be back before his parents awoke. He walked a quarter mile to the entrance of the cave and pushed past the signs and warning tape blocking the entrance.

For the first several miles inside the cave, nothing was strange. He did indeed have cell service miles below the ground. After being in the cave for about an hour, he saw some light ahead and rushed forward to investigate. He saw mounds of spider webs and a silhouette moving slowly. He thought it might be the 2 teenagers who got lost long ago. After stepping into the light, the silhouette, he was forced into the deepest and stickiest part of the spider webs. When all hope was lost, he managed to slip one hand free and dial 911. (play backgrounded version of recording). Within 5 minuets half the police department was surrounding the entrance. 15 minutes later, a police transport van arrived with the text, "Robotic Retrieval and Rescue Sector" plastered on all sides. A robot named EPS came rolling out of the van with orders to rescue this boy. While EPS was preparing to descend into the cave, Ebenezer Jones, a homeland security agent from DC currently on business in Frankfort, stepped out of a blacked-out car to discuss the matter at hand. Kentucky Governor Barbara Gordon also came down with him after hearing about the cave. While the local police start talking with the politicians, EPS begins his descent into the cave. EPS uses his lights to inspect the cave lighting power box and manages to turn on the lights so he can see. After traversing the crumbling cave, the lights cut out, and EPS starts shaking. After a few minutes of sitting in the dark, EPS gets back out his flashlight to continue the journey.

EPS sees some light up ahead and listens very carefully for any voices being spoken. (recording 2). (... Noah, is it? I haven't seen any living person for a very long time. I have been planning ways to get kids like you in here, and the fact that you came in here willingly is just {Inaudible}. Now I have to know, why? [Noah: Well, so many stories have flown around about this cave, and I just wanted to explore it and know for myself if any of them were {inaudible}.) After hearing this short conversation, EPS scans the surrounding rock structures and finds a hidden entrance to extract Noah from this death sentence. While the giant turns around to start building a fire, EPS swiftly cuts Noah free. Noah has no idea what is going on and just sees the little police emblem and stays quiet. Once Noah is free, the giant finishes building his fire, and EPS shoves him into the fire, scaring him badly. While he is incapacitated, EPS moves a big boulder over the door and locks him inside. Time has been running away, and EPS has been inside for 14 hours, navigating the complex tunnel system. Political officials at the surface have made a decision to forcefully close the cave and seal it shut. Local police fought as much as they could to delay this, but Müller and Gordon stated it was too dangerous to keep it open. They relayed a message to EPS stating it was being sealed. EPS has had little communication with them after he went in and just barely received this message. EPS then reviewed all of the preloaded maps of the cave to try to find another way out. Police start packing up their gear from the failed mission, and with a turn of fate, EPS and Noah were spotted rolling from the woods. EPS had found a weak spot in the cave wall not too far away and managed to break through the thin rock and escape the cave. Officials then spent many months sealing the cave permanently so no one could ever enter the cave again. The giant will never torment anybody again.
