Mrs. Metcalf

Welcome Message

Welcome to my page. I am Mrs. Christie Metcalf. I have been teaching at WCES for 22 years and have loved every day. I teach science to the 4th grade and social studies to the 5th grade. I love teaching science, especially when I can get my students doing hands on learning and relating it to real life. I have only taught social studies for the past two years, but have grown to love it. I have created my lessons so my students feel like they were part of history or connecting to the real world they live in.

I have been married to my husband, Brad, for 20 years. We have one daughter, Katlynn, that is finishing up her last year of middle school this school year. It is hard to believe we will have a freshman in high school. I stay busy with taking Katlynn to basketball, golf or sewing class. As a family we love to play board games, cards, or go on adventurous trips around Kentucky. Family is #1 in my life (second is my school family), so I visit my parents a lot in Campbellsville.
