OUR GT/PTP TEAM

Ms. Carney's Family! My husband Daniel, daughter Celia (oldest), son Joseph, and daughter Frannie.

A WORD FROM MS. CARNEY: This is my 5th year as the Gifted and Talented Coordinator and Resource Teacher for Washington County Schools.  Before GT, I was an English/Social Studies Middle School teacher at North Washington for 8 years. I love working with GT/PTP students because of their natural creativity and the way they are always wondering/questioning.  I will be coordinating events and activities for all GT/PTP students, grades K-12 and frequently meeting with students in grades 4-12 across the district.  When I'm not teaching, I enjoy watching my kids play sports, especially softball and soccer.

Ms. Pinkston's family! My husband Matthew, daughter Maelita, son Malachi (oldest), and son Micah.

A WORD FROM MS. PINKSTON: I moved to Washington County in 2001.  I met my husband after moving to Springfield in 2002, and we were married in April of 2004.  In 2011, we were blessed with our first child, Malachi, and in 2018, we were blessed to add siblings Maelita and Micah to the mix.  We moved out into the county in early 2015, and have been raising Belted Galloway cows on our farm.  As a family, we enjoy being outdoors and most sports.  MY favorite hobby is to scrapbook and remember all the fun that our family has had through pictures.  I will be working with Primary Talent Pool (K-3) students at both WCES and NW.  I will also be working with WCHS virtual students.
