GT & PTP Winter NEWSLETTER 2025
Gifted/Talented & Primary Talent Pool Information Sheet for Washington County Schools
We strive to provide quality services to almost 300 total students throughout our district. This includes educational enrichment sessions for all Primary Talent Pool (K-3rd) and GT (4th-12th) students. Gifted and Talented also includes special programming during and sometimes after the school day such as field trips, workshops, and special groups (Teen Leadership, Junior Leadership) as well as collaborating with regular classroom teachers to provide differentiated instruction to challenge all of our learners.
Gifted and Talented Education encompasses multiple areas including: General Intellect, Creative Thinking, Language, Math, Science, Social Studies, Art, Drama, Dance, Music, and Leadership. Students are formally screened for these areas starting in 4th grade. Grades K-3 informally identify students for the Primary Talent Pool.
If you have any questions about the Gifted and Talented program, please email or give me a call at the information at the bottom of this page.
