The MEP Teachers of Tomorrow is a “grow your own” program funded by a grant from the Minnesota Department of Education. This program is intended to help students who are of color or who are American Indian earn their Minnesota teaching license.

There is a rolling application process. Please complete an application.
The MEP Teachers of Tomorrow program is open to applicants who are Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC) who are considering the teaching profession and planning to attend a Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board-approved (PELSB-approved) teacher preparation program.
Sophomores, juniors, and seniors at MEP school districts (Faribault, Le Sueur-Henderson, Mankato, Owatonna, Tri-City United, Waseca) are eligible to apply.
Teachers of Tomorrow receive:
A scholarship to help with postsecondary costs (average $5,000 per graduate)
One-on-one advising support throughout the program
Four-day summer teaching academy at MSU, Mankato
College visits

A sheet for each district was shared with each navigator. If you need access to yours, please email Brooke (mcgb@waseca.k12.mn.us).
Please complete the documentation for your Navigator work on a monthly basis.
When you enter the documentation is up to you (i.e. daily or weekly), but your sheet needs to be updated by the end of each month.
