Attending a Digital Conference on Google Meet

We are using Google Meet for conferences and parent meetings this year.

You can access the conferences on your computer, phone or tablet.

Here are the links to download the Google Meet app on Android, iPhone and iPad.

We recommend using the Chrome Browser for your Google Meets.

**** Please note, if do not have the ability to meet using a computer, android device or iOS device please contact the school office as soon as possible. We will get you the information you need to attend by phone.

Preparing for the meeting.

  1. Make sure you are in a quiet place that will allow you to hear the teachers and the teachers to hear you.

  2. Make sure others in your house/office/area know you are in a meeting so there are no surprises.

  3. Make sure you have reviewed some of the information below about how to manage your microphone and video.

  4. Please be on time. We have meetings scheduled every 20 minutes and want to be fair to whoever has an appointment after you.

Joining a Google Meet by Phone

(Please note this information is taken directly from Google's support site listed below)

Join a meeting with a phone number

Tip: If you try to dial in to a meeting before it starts you might get an error that the PIN is not recognized.

You can dial in during the scheduled meeting time using one of the following methods:

  • Enter the phone number that’s in the Google Calendar event or meeting invitation.
Then, enter the PIN and #.

  • From the Meet or Calendar app, tap the phone number.
    The PIN is automatically entered.

All G Suite editions include a U.S. phone number. G Suite Essentials, Basic, Business, Enterprise, and Enterprise for Education editions also support international numbers in Meet video meetings. Regular call charges apply.

Mute or unmute your phone

You're muted if another meeting participant mutes you or if you:

  • Press *6.

  • Have your phone's volume at the lowest level.

  • Join after the 5th participant.

Press *6 again or increase the volume to unmute.
