How Do I Raise Money?

• Go on Facebook or Instagram and make a post about what Four Diamonds and Mini-THON® means to you and link your Donor Drive! Share your fundraising page on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media sites. 91% of our social media donations come through Facebook where the audience is mostly parents and their friends who are likely to donate. Also, consider asking friends and relatives to repost on your behalf.

• Go door to door and ask for donations! Make sure to be respectful and have a pitch!

• Have a bake sale. Make some cupcakes, brownies, cookies, and more! Set up a table at a sporting event and watch the dollars come flying in!

• Instead of asking for birthday presents, ask for donations to your Donor Drive. Helping children who have been diagnosed with cancer is one of the most satisfying things that you can do!

• Ask your work to put a can by the register. Many people have loose change that they don't want to deal with after getting their meal. The worst your work can say is no!

• Send letters to your extended family telling them what Four Diamonds is, and that you're asking for donations

• Send E-Mails! The #1 reason people give for not donating is because they weren't asked. Send an email to friends and family asking them to support your Mini-THON® fundraising efforts. Four Diamonds provides the content, all you have to do is import the addresses and click send. If you are a returning fundraiser to DonorDrive, you also have the ability to email past supporters. This is powerful because they have already proven their willingness to contribute to your Mini-THON®. DonorDrive automatically populates the email addresses of your prior donors for you.

• Donate to yourself! People who donate to their own fundraising page raise 3 times more, on average. Self-donating shows that you care about your Mini-THON® and will inspire others to join your efforts!

• REMEMBER - Always thank your donors for contributing to your fundraising efforts - FTK®! DonorDrive makes it easy by notifying you when someone donates and allows you to send a thank you email directly from your Dashboard.
