Kindergarten Registration Info

How do I register my child for kindergarten? 

Step 1: Pick up an enrollment packet, containing forms and information, at the Warwick District Office, 301 W. Orange Street (behind the high school) or at your child's future school.

Step 2: Plan to attend your school's registration day at the Warwick District Office (see schedule below). You may come at any time during our hours. Hours each day are 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. If you cannot attend on your school's day, you may come on registration day for another school. Children are welcome, but their presence is not required.

Step 3: Sign up for a kindergarten assessment appointment the day you register. Your child's appointment will be on June 3 or 4 at their school, and will run about 45 minutes. During this time, principals will share important information with parents. 

What will I need to register?

• Parent photo I.D.

• Residency proof (deed, lease, utility bill, tax bill)

• Your child’s birth certificate

• Your child’s immunization list to date

• These forms: 

  1. Enrollment Form

  2. Health History Form

  3. COPPA Permission Form

• Also these forms, if possible. Otherwise they can be turned in before school starts:

  1. Transportation

  2. Medical instructions, Physical form

  3. Dental Instructions, Dental form

Who is eligible?
Any child who turns five on or before September 15, 2024 who lives in Lititz Borough, Warwick Township, or Elizabeth Township

What if my child meets the age requirements, but I'm not sure they're ready for kindergarten?
We suggest that you register your child and allow him or her to go through the assessment process. Assessments will take place in early June 2024. Our kindergarten teachers who do assessments will provide valuable information to help you decide. At any time, of course, you can let our enrollment office know if you'd like to have your child wait a year to begin kindergarten, and we will keep your information and contact you again next year.

My child doesn’t have all of his or her immunizations yet.
That’s OK. Submit the list of what you have.

What if I plan to enroll my child in a private school, or wait until the following year to send them?  
Fill out our survey to let us know of your enrollment plans. 

If my child is enrolled in Warwick's PreK, do I need to register them for kindergarten?
No. But you must schedule a kindergarten assessment time. Call the district office at 717-626-3700 after April 18 to schedule. 

English is not my first language; how can I get help?  
Call the Warwick District Office at 717-626-3700 and we will arrange interpretation services for you.
