Welcome to 7th Grade English Language Arts!
This year we will build on the foundations you have learned and introduce new core concepts.
You will take two ELA courses labeled “Literature & Speech” and “Writing & Reading”. Please see the descriptions below for the units, texts, and core concepts taught in each course.
LITERATURE & SPEECH
This part of the class will focus primarily on literary elements, reading comprehension, and discussion.
WRITING & READING
This part of the class will focus primarily on grammar, writing tools, and text dependent analysis
