Edgewood Middle School’s mission and vision fully embrace Indiana’s priorities for STEM education. We are committed to maximizing student learning and achievement while providing high-quality integrated STEM instruction across multiple content areas, including an emphasis on project-based learning. Edgewood promotes research-based practices and provides engaging STEM education experiences to prepare all of our students for the future.

Dr. David Hoffert
Dr. David Hoffert has been superintendent of Warsaw Community Schools since 2014. He has been a critical partner in ensuring that the quality of STEM education that was started through the Innovation Grant of 2012. Continued excellence has been a priority of WCS, as has a strategic plan of rigorous, equitable, and high quality STEM curriculum and instruction.
Principal
JoElla Hauselman
JoElla Hauselman has been the principal of Edgewood Middle School for over 20 years. She has been a leader in implementing change in the school, including implementing teachers training teachers, which has helped promote a shared vision in all we do. She has always made learning a priority, and she sees STEM education as a critical element for preparing students for tomorrow and engaging them in all content areas through STEM instruction.
Zimmer Biomet
Hallie Brinkerhuff
Zimmer Biomet has been actively involved in the Warsaw Community and in Warsaw Community Schools in a variety of ways. They have worked with Orthoworx in implementing a county wide program in Manufacturing Education which has included giving tours to all middle school students in the county. Several of their engineers have participated in after school programs such robotics and GoBabyGo! Edgewood Middle School is proud to consider Zimmer Biomet a community partner and looks forward to future collaborations to enrich our students.

Grace College has supported EMS continuously. Many student teachers and field observations are consistently found within the building. Grace College is a strong partner that allows our teachers to educate upcoming talent. Our teachers provide ongoing professional development that enriches these educators.
