Expand the window on the left to see the Directions boxes on both sides of the drawing. Give students directions, resources and ideas in boxes or "post-it" notes on the sides. They are intentionally left OFF of the drawing canvas.
WHY?
So if you print or download, these boxes will not be attached and distract from the drawing created. A link to the drawing file will still have the boxes unless the student deletes them.

Yes, they can using GDocs Insert Drawing option!
For a virtual gallery walk so students can view each other's creations, provide peer feedback, vote on the best, or get ideas for next time!
Give students editing rights so they can insert their images
PRO TIP: Give students a number and indicate a section or slide for each student with that. This directs the student where to place their work. Distribute via Google Classroom as an Assignment and select students "Can Edit" the slides so they can work on it whenever they need to. Remind them not to touch anyone else's work, this can be seen anytime via Revision History!
