My cousin, Kitana Tucker, and I, Chloe Vincent are the people responsible for making our Smiths Grove Feature Video, and we decided to make the video in Canva about our special sights in Smiths Grove.
When we went to Smiths Grove after school, we proceeded to go to the Kentucky Card Vault and the Main Street Antiques & Collectibles, LLC. We found various items in each store, there was something for everybody near the Flavor Isle! In the Kentucky Card Vault there were Pokemon and sports cards of all sorts and sizes. In the antique shop we found old toys, ornaments, chairs, high quality furniture, and so much more! We ended up enjoying both stores more than we originally thought we would. Part of what made our video special, in my personal opinion, is that the area was as new to us as it is to our audience.
After we explored our local shops, we proceeded to go to the Flavor Isle. The area was pretty busy for a Friday night at 7:30, we saw the employee, Chevy, who was working there single handedly and gave her a short interview. We did not get a chance to video her, but we recorded her answers down on a sheet of paper. I took a lot of photos and videos, and I took a photo of an excerpt from The Journal that wrote about the Flavor Isle. We also learned a large amount about the history of the Flavor Isle from that newspaper. We also took some photos of us with our delicious ice cream.
Then to finish our project we uploaded all of our content to a Canva video template. We added music, animations, credits, and the design was our very own. (We also added an exclusive bloooper of us telling each other jokes.) We added a voice over to the Flavor Isle slides explaining the history and interview with Chevy from the Flavor Isle.
