Dear Bobcat Families,
March was a fantastic month at Richardsville Elementary! We accomplished so many amazing things with our Bobcats. We hosted our first school-wide student-led conference on March 25th and we had over 230 families participate! Thank you for taking the time to let your child share their Leader in Me Leadership Portfolio with you. We have heard so many positive comments from our students about these moments they shared with you. Due to the positive response we have received regarding student-led conferences, we have every intention of continuing these for years to come, so we would love your feedback. Please click here to access the feedback survey.
On March 30th, we were also able to showcase our wonderful school during our Lighthouse recertification site visit. Our Student Lighthouse Team along with other student leaders hosted this entire day, and our reviewer was more than impressed with the leadership focus of our school. In the next month, we will find out if we officially gain recertification as a Lighthouse Leader in Me School, and we are hopeful that we will be able to host a great celebration as a result of our hard work!
We are also excited that today, April 1st, and tomorrow, April 2nd, we will be hosting our first-ever school-wide musical. Public performances will occur on both nights at 6:00 PM at Warren East High School’s auditorium. We invite our whole Richardsville community to celebrate the accomplishments of our students and join us for the show.
As you know, next week is Spring Break. I wish each of you a safe and enjoyable time spent with your child. Although it is a break, please know that your Richardsville Elementary family is always here for you. If a need arises, please do not hesitate to contact me at lacey.hickey@warren.kyschools.us.
When we return from Spring Break, our days will be filled with learning and hard work as we prepare for our end of the year testing. We will have both iReady testing and the Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) taking place very soon, and we want to make sure our students are prepared to demonstrate all that they have learned this year. Please make sure to support your child by making sure they get plenty of rest each night and a healthy breakfast each morning during testing.
As always, you can find information about these events and much more on our Family Bobcat Bulletin.
If you need anything at all, please do not hesitate to contact me at (270) 777-3232 or at lacey.hickey@warren.kyschools.us at any time. I look forward to seeing you at Richardsville Elementary very soon! It’s a great day to be a Bobcat!
With warm regards,
Lacey Hickey

Founded on the belief that everyone has the potential to lead, Leader in Me is a comprehensive PK–12 framework that nurtures student leadership, fosters a culture of trust, and boosts academic success. This proven approach empowers students, educators, and families with essential leadership and life skills, preparing them to excel.
In "The Leader in Me" framework, WIGs stand for Wildly Important Goals, which are specific, measurable, time-bound goals that help students and staff focus on essential academic or personal targets.
Our School's Attendance WIG: Our school's attendance percentage will increase from 93.59% to 96% by May 2026.
Our School's Academic WIG: By May, 75% of Richardsville students will score at or above the 60th percentile on the i-Ready Reading and Math Diagnostic.
These Wildly Important Goals help students focus on, building leadership, accountability, and self-efficacy. These goals help break down larger objectives into achievable steps using lead measures and scoreboards. The next time you're at our school, stop by our scoreboards to see how we are doing on meeting these WIGs!
