Dear Bobcat Families,
Happy New Year! It is truly astounding that we have already worked our way through the first half of the 2025-2026 school year! Our Bobcats have spent this past semester leading, learning, and growing, and I couldn’t be more proud of them.
December was magical at Richardsville – from our family literacy activities to milk and cookies with Santa to our special holiday performance to classroom parties – Our Bobcats enjoyed the entire month! We are proud that over 150 of our students and their families came to enjoy our family engagement night on December 18th! It was wonderful seeing our students and their loved ones interacting with reading activities and having fun while trying to solve the case of the missing elf!
As we look forward to this month, we have several things to note. Our students who met their growth goal for our winter iReady testing will get to celebrate with a treat from the WIG Wagon. Our students will also get the opportunity to visit the Charm Cart to add charms to their necklaces for their hard work associated with iReady, Amira, and more!
We will also have a few school-wide events taking place such as our Little Caesars fundraiser and the Kids Heart Challenge! More information about these opportunities will be added to our Bobcat Bulletin as their start dates get closer.
As you know, safety is our number one priority, so we will also practice all of our safety drills this month. This helps keep our students familiar with the expectations while also giving them the opportunity to practice during various parts of the school day.
Thank you for all that you have done to make the first half of this school year such a success. I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together during the coming months. Your partnership is always appreciated, and we look forward to welcoming you back into our building for our next big event – Family Engagement PLC Day in February. Until then, feel free to join us for lunch with your child or to volunteer! You are always welcome at Richardsville Elementary!
It’s a great day to be a Bobcat!
With warm regards,
Lacey Hickey

Richardsville Elementary

Classroom celebrations will begin at 2:30 p.m. Parents are welcome to attend and join in the fun as students enjoy sweet activities and Valentine treats! Parents may begin visiting classrooms at 2:45 p.m. so teachers have time to get students settled before everyone arrives.
Please remember that a valid, government-issued photo ID is required to enter the building.
No ID = No entrance. A valid government-issued ID must be presented for entry on the day of the event.
To pre-register, your valid government-issued photo ID must already be scanned into our Raptor Check-In System.
Register HERE at this link.
Please note: Pre-registration does not replace ID requirements. All visitors must have their valid government-issued photo ID in hand on the day of the event to enter the building.
🕒 The deadline to pre-register is Friday, February 6.
If you choose not to pre-register, you will still need to sign in and out using the Raptor system upon arrival. Please note that this process can take time, and we only have two scanning stations available — so plan accordingly.
We can’t wait to celebrate Valentine’s Day with our Bobcats and enjoy an afternoon full of love, fun, and sweet memories! 💕🍬💘
There will be no school for students on Friday, February 13th as that is a PLC work day for teachers. Parents and families please check communication from your child's teacher, as this is a parent and family engagement PLC day, and there will be conferences scheduled from 4-7 pm on Thursday, February 12th as well as 8am-12pm on Friday, February 13th.
With the temperatures dropping, please remember to send your Bobcat with a coat each day. This will help keep them warm during arrival, dismissal, and recess! If your child is in need of a winter coat, we are happy to help. Please contact Mrs. Casey at richardsvillefrc@warren.kyschools.us.
