Lost River Elementary Mission: Growing Leaders
Lost River Elementary Vision: The vision of Lost River Elementary is for all students to achieve academic success and build resilience through rigorous instruction and engaging practices.
We have had another great week at Lost River! Our students have been working hard, especially in writing, as they continue practicing how to restate questions, write complete and correct responses, and support their thinking with details. We are proud of the effort our students are putting forth each day!
If you have not already turned in your Coke fundraiser money or T-shirt money, please be sure to send it in by Monday. Thank you for helping us make these fundraisers successful and for supporting our students and school!
We are officially pushing toward Fall Break! We have lots of exciting things happening in the coming weeks, including our Fall Festival on Friday, October 16. We look forward to a fun-filled evening with our Lost River Lion families and appreciate everyone who helps make these special events possible!

Ask your child to retell what they read in their own words. Have them tell you the beginning, middle, and end, or explain the most important parts of what they read. Retelling helps children build comprehension and remember what they have learned.
Look for math in everyday life! Ask your child to estimate how many items are in a group, compare prices while shopping, count objects, or figure out how much time is left until an activity. These simple conversations help children see that math is something we use every day.

Hello Lost River Families!!
We are so excited for this school year! Please remember to fill out your Household Income Form as soon as possible! This form helps to determine what funding FRC gets for the school year and ensures every single student can get free breakfast and lunch! You can fill it out online at this link https://www.myschoolapps.com/Application or a paper copy can be sent home if the online form is not convenient. Thank all for your support!
Upcoming Advisory Council Meeting: Tuesday, September 15th at 3:00pm. We would love for you to join us and learn more about what FRC is doing in the school!

We have prioritized attendance this year both as a school and as a district. We have put together this information just to help our families understand how important attendance is to your child's educational progress. We thank you for partnering with us to have your child at school whenever possible!
Be sure to support our PTO by participating in these fundraisers!
