Preregistration Process for Redding VE Team.
Redding VE Team uses HAM STUDY & EXAM TOOLS for testing.
Create an account and register at HAMSTUDY.org
The ARRL has stopped supporting "paper tests" as of January 2026. This throws some candidates into a spin. Not To Worry! Redding VE has implemented Online Testing. It is a one-stop testing site, no matter which study method you have used.
Just follow these easy steps to get your seat at the next test session.

From VEC: Use the drop-down menu to select ARRL-VEC
Located: Enter ZIP Code 96003
The next testing session will appear below, and you can then select it.

Please check the date and confirm it is the one you want.
Click Register if it is your first time testing with this program
Click Old Registration if you have already used this to test.
The next screen will prompt you to verify your age; simply click Yes or No.
Next, enter your FRN OR your Callsign if you have one.
Just follow the prompts to complete the process
