Kia ora whānau of Community Three. I am very excited to be the Team Leader of Community Three this year. I have 15 years teaching experience in South Auckland, Gisborne, and now Warkworth where I have been teaching for the last two years. Warkworth is my hometown and I once attended Warkworth School and Mahurangi College myself, as a student. My Mum, Karen Lane, was my teacher in Year 5 (or Standard 3 back then). As a teacher, my passions are Writing, Te Reo and Tikanga Māori, as well as finding meaningful, authentic contexts for our students to learn within. Here’s to a great year of learning in 2019!
Hi everyone. I’ve been teaching for about 20 years now and this is my third year in Community Three. Besides teaching, I was a stay at home dad for 5 years raising my two children. As well as this I’ve studied, tutored adults and worked with teenagers. I love connecting with children, raising expectations and teaching Art, Literacy and Mathematics. I’m really looking forward to a great year of learning alongside your child and getting to know you!
Kia orana whānau and welcome to Community Three. I am also excited to be entering into another year with my awesome teaching team and working alongside your Tamariki this year. I have three years teaching experience, starting my first year in South Auckland as a beginning teacher and the last two here at Warkworth School. I trained in both early childhood and primary at Massey University in Palmerston North (my home town) and have since completed a postgraduate year teaching primary after a career change inbetween. I am discovering that my passion lies in the Arts, Pasifika, and Mathematics.
Welcome to Community Three. This is my second year teaching and I am excited to be in Community Three again this year. I grew up in Warkworth and attended Warkworth School and Mahurangi College then completed my Bachelor of Education at Auckland University of Technology. While studying I worked for the out of school care and holiday programme, Cool Kids. I am passionate about sports including Dance and Netball, I also love teaching Literacy, Mathematics and Physical Education. I look forward to learning and working alongside you and your Tamariki this year.
