Thanks to a generous grant from the A. Lindsay & Olive B. O’Connor Foundation , the Walton Middle School has begun a "Trout in the Classroom"  project at George F. Mack  Middle School in Walton, NY.

Trout in the Classroom is an organization that began a as an effort to connect kids with their local watersheds. Trout need near perfect water quality and temperature in order to survive in the wild.  The purpose of TIC at Walton CSD is to educate our kids about the importance of protecting our local waters. A springtime release in the WDelaware Riveris being planned.
