Curriculum

Overview

Curriculum is important at our school because it is very important for students to learn new things to do better in their overall future.

According to the article “Using Community based challenges for learning” Curriculum is important because “Helping students address community challenges by using our content merges the best aspect of service learning, PBL, and growth mindset” This means that if students look at real community challenges they will understand better when learning.

Curriculum at Moo Moo High

At Moo Moo high we think that curriculum is very important and has many different classes for our students. We as a school want to provide the best for our students, having many different classes will help them learn to love what they take and not have to worry if there is nothing for them. There is something for every student.

At our school we have four main classes that students take everyday which are math, English, History and Science. When working with class leveling we don't have to worry about students being in different levels of classes because they will all have the same level.

According to the article “What is Project Based Learning” “Project based learning requires critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and various forms of communication. To answer a driving question and create high quality work, students need to do much more than remember information. They need to use higher-order thinking skills and learn to work as a team” This means that if students work on things in a project their minds will learn more of it. We also offer Electives for everyone, Some electives we offer are, Choir, Show Choir, Drama, Dance, Shop, Business, Art, Computers, Nursing, Child Care, AV Club, and many more clubs and classes.

Connection to Mission

At our school “We expect that our students work hard, experience new things and adventures.” This part of our mission statement can connect to PBL because PBL allows hard work and challenges for students and it gives them all new experiences.
