Keep a daily journal

  • Have a student pick an item in the house or outside and have them write as many adjectives about the item that they can think of.

  • If flash cards are available, keep practicing reading and identifying their current grade level words!

  • Label different objects around the house!

Try to read up to 20 minutes a day

  • After reading ask simple “wh” questions about the reading.

  • Who?

  • What?

  • When?

  • Where?

  • I will attach a worksheet for reading comprehension. It will focus on inferential questions like “why?” and “how?”
