Assignment Notebooks
All students will receive an assignment notebook. There will be time at the beginning or end of class to write down their homework.
This is a tool to support students in remembering their assignments, mapping out quiz and test dates, and more.
Assignment notebooks should be brought to every class!
Teachers typically post what the homework is on their Google Classrooms, as well!
Above: An example of a 6th grader's assignment notebook. Teachers will help you set it up in September. Note how each subject has a space, and there's room to log after school activities.
For assignments that are on Google Classroom, you will see them appear on your Google Calendar. Teachers will help you understand this!
WMS uses IXL for Math and ELA.
We will get you set up when you start the school year.
This is an online platform where all students have an account.
Students will use this in class and also recieve assigned homework from their teacher.
Try to create a "homework routine" after school.
Build independence by "mapping out" your after school activities ahead of time, and then plan when you will get your homework done in between.
