Walpole Extended Day Pop Tab Drive
The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Pop Tab Program invites individuals and groups to collect aluminum can tabs, which are recycled to help raise funds for families with sick or injured children. Walpole Extended Day Program participates by encouraging students to bring in pop tabs to add to the collection. Through this simple, community-driven effort, students learn the value of helping others while RMHC turns these small donations into meaningful support for families in need.

Walpole Extended Day Holiday Ornament and Card Drive
Walpole Extended Day partners with the Walpole Council on Aging to bring joy to local members during the holiday season. Students create handmade cards and ornaments, sharing their creativity and kindness with members of their local community. This collaboration helps students learn the importance of giving back while brightening the holidays for others with thoughtful, personalized gifts.
The Walpole Extended Day Program also supports local first responders by creating handmade cards and ornaments to show appreciation for their service. Students craft heartfelt messages and decorations that are delivered to police officers and firefighters. This effort helps children recognize the dedication of first responders while sharing gratitude and holiday cheer with those who serve the community.
Walpole Extended Day Project Linus Blanket and Materials Drive
The Walpole Public Schools Extended Day Program partners with Project Linus, a nonprofit organization that provides handmade blankets to children in need. Through this partnership, students help create cozy, comforting blankets that are donated to kids facing illness, trauma, or other difficult situations. Families can also support the cause by donating blanket-making materials, such as fleece fabric. This project teaches students kindness, empathy, and the power of giving, while bringing warmth and security to children in the community.
