Spelling

You can find the weekly spelling list posted on Spelling City. Words lists are usually updated by Sunday night. The first ten words are from our Scott Foresman reading program and incorporates the weekly phonic skills. Along with the phonic words are five high-frequency words called Core Word. Students are held responsible for spelling these words correctly in their daily writing as well as for their weekly tests. Our spelling homework has many different activities to choose from which help reinforce student learning. Students are allowed to choose Spelling City as one of their activities. They can practice, play spelling games, and test themselves on this site. Children can expect a spelling test on Friday.
