The Robot Hunger Games:
"May the odds be ever in your favor!"
This website features the student-built, custom robots of the Moran STEP Robotics Tournament. They were born of collaboration, creative thought, trial, error, and sweat. The game pits robots against one another, head-to-head, in a double elimination tournament. For part of the time, the robots will be driven remotely by students. For the other part, the robot will be programmed by the students and must move on the playing field autonomously. Each class will produce one winner, who will then face off against the other class winners in the final tournament.
Defeat and Sweet Victory!
The losing robots are immediately disassembled and their memories erased: effectively, it is death for them. The sole survivor basks in the glory of victory until next year, when it will be shown off to future competitors. It is also celebrated on the Hunger Games Trophy.
