The culinary program is second to none in the Houston and surrounding area. The students in the culinary arts program learn the latest skills and techniques to be successful in today’s culinary and hospitality industry. They are also prepared to enroll in post-secondary education such as colleges and universities. All food is prepared from the freshest ingredients and made from scratch. Students also, learn cost control, front and back of house management and Waller participate in real-world activities such as competitions. Waller’s Bulldog Bistro is 100% run by the practicum culinary arts students supervised by Chef TKO. The students come up with the menu idea based on customer wants and needs. They also prepare with the freshest ingredients. The community is raving about the food coming out of the Bistro. “It is exciting to see these students be creative and learn life-changing skills,” said Chef TKO. He went on to say, “these students are learning the same techniques and skill set as I did in college. I would be confident in their abilities to run a restaurant.”
