Wallacea Nature developed out of the work from 2009-2017 for capacity-building a wildlife rescue centre in North Sulawesi and consulting for various government agencies in different parts of Sulawesi and the Moluccas since 2012.
Formally branded since March 2018, Wallacea Nature has been involved in a diverse array of issues with the Ministry of Environment & Forestry and numerous NGO's working in the Wallacea region.
Some of the National Parks Wallacea Nature has and is working with in Indonesia include; Aketajawe-Lolobata, Bunaken, Kepulauan Togean, Rawa Aopa Watumohai, Boganinani Wartebone, Bantimurung-Bulusaraung and Gandang Dewata.
KSDA and other units that Wallacea Nature has assisted; BKSDA SULUTGO, BKSDA SULTENG, BBKSDA SULSEL, BKSDA SULTRA, BKSDA Maluku, BKSDA DIY, BP2LHK Manado (Anoa Breeding Centre), BP2LHK Makassar (Tarsier Sanctuary).
Collaboration with NGO's include; Yayasan Masarang, YaKinPas / Selamatkan Yaki, Yayasan Konservasi Tarsius Indonesia, Aliansi Konservasi Tompotika, Action Indonesia, WCS-IP, Burung Indonesia and academic institutions in North Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi and North Moluccas.
