Freshmen, Sophomores, & Juniors:
What can you do now?
Stay on track to graduate, and do well in your classes. You may be asked about your academic performance or required to list your GPA on scholarship applications.
Get involved in your school and community. Participating in clubs, extracurricular activities, and volunteering opens up your world and provides you with experiences you might not otherwise have. This is a great way to begin building your resume. Scholarship applications will often ask about the activities you are involved in, and if short answer questions or an essay is part of the application process, you'll have lots of experiences to draw from.
Know the requirements for Hope Scholarship. This scholarship pays a large percentage of your college tuition and is available to ALL Georgia students who meet the requirements at graduation. No essay or application required.
