Vote April 20!

Polls will be open 2-8pm Tuesday, April 20 at Crescent Elementary, Traphagen Elementary, Waldwick High School, and Borough Hall. Find your poll and other voting details at the Borough of Waldwick's website.

Who Can Vote

Anyone who was registered to vote with a Waldwick address by the March 30 deadline can participate in the April 20 bond referendum that is proposed to make Waldwick schools stronger. If you’re not sure if you are registered, or what address is associated with your registration, find out by entering basic information at this State of New Jersey website.

If you received a mail-in ballot, that must be postmarked by Tuesday, April 20 or hand-delivered; see directions on your ballot. To vote by mail, residents had to either specifically request that kind of ballot for future elections, or submit an application by April 13 for this April 20 referendum.

If you plan to vote in-person, you can do that between 2 and 8 pm at Crescent Elementary, Traphagen Elementary, Waldwick High School, and Borough Hall. Find your assigned poll and other voting details at the Borough of Waldwick's website.

As soon as we can make an announcement about the referendum's result, it will be posted on this website and our social media channels (see below).

Vote By Mail

Registered voters can mark their ballots in-person, but voting by mail is an option, too. Voting by mail is an easy, convenient way to make your ballot count without waiting in line at the polls, trudging through bad weather, or breaking away from a hectic day at home or work.

Unlike 2020, every registered voter will not automatically get a mail-in ballot. You can ensure that you’ll receive a Vote By Mail ballot by submitting an application like the ones on this website in English, Spanish or Korean. To have the ballot mailed to you, the application must be RECEIVED by the county office by April 13. That sets up a one-week turnaround time, because Vote By Mail ballots must be completed and postmarked by the April 20 date of Waldwick's bond referendum. Rather than risk delay, voters are encouraged to act early to make sure their opinions count.

On the Vote By Mail application form, mark the box for "SPECIAL" election and write in the date of 4-20-2021. Be sure to follow all ballot directions carefully. There are checks and balances to prevent voter fraud, and sometimes simple mistakes lead a ballot to mistakenly get snagged.
