Antiques Show & Tell
Wakulla County Historical Society
9th Annual Show & Tell
Tuesday, May 12, 2026
6:00 p.m.
Wakulla County Public Library
Back by popular demand! Our annual Show & Tell program! This is a great opportunity for those of you lucky enough to have a long family history in this part of Florida to bring in and show off those items handed down from earlier generations—and for the rest of us to see and learn about and admire them! Members and guests are invited to display and talk about their items related to North Florida or Wakulla County history. Display tables will be set up for attendees to view your artifacts.
Bring those antique books, buttons, tokens, bottles or any object of historical value you’ve been storing in the closet, share your stories about them and enjoy viewing the artifacts of other collectors!
The Wakulla County Historical Society was founded in October 1991 to collect, preserve, exhibit and interpret the heritage of Wakulla County and the surrounding area. We are located at the Wakulla County Museum and Archives in Crawfordville, Florida. The members are actively involved in the restoration of the old jail building that was built in 1949. It is one of the few remaining art deco jail buildings that have not been architecturally modified. The museum houses the genealogy library, exhibit rooms, research areas and a gift shop. Volunteers are available at the museum to assist you with historical and genealogical research.
Our members are involved in many community projects including:
Historical programs for the public
Maintaining and documentation of historical cemeteries
Heritage Village Project
Genealogy classes and research assistance
Maintaining our extensive library for genealogy research
Collecting and preserving artifacts
Creating museum exhibits
Restoration of the Old Jail building that contains the museum and archives
and more...
