Welcome to Waituna West School.

Waituna West School is situated in a picturesque valley 27 kms inland from Feilding and was opened in 1895.  Since then a number of local smaller schools have merged into Waituna West School, providing a wide catchment of pupils.

We have a stable roll between 55 and 60 students which means we have smaller classes and incredibly strong relationships with our students and families.  We pride ourselves on the whanau spirit of our school and the way people feel welcomed when they walk through our gates.

Our students have strong ties to our community and school.  We do a lot of community service and have excellent support from the locals.  Our students have a huge range of opportunities made available to them and we have strong rural links in our curriculum.
