The Front Country Horsemen of America (or FCHA, for short) is an organization dedicated to making roads in urban paradises such as San Francisco accessible to all commuters, including those on horseback. We at the FCHA find it an outrage that those of us that get to work on equine beings are disenfranchised by such difficulties for horses as streets at difficult angles, angry car drivers, and confused police officers that think horseback riding in cities is prohibited. Our goal is to stop these injustices by lobbying for a specific horse lane on streets, instead of having to share with the cars, bikes, or pedestrians; lobbying for "horse elevators" on angled avenues, a new technology designed to lift horses up the sidewalk to the next intersection; and creating signs at intersections to say "HORSES PERMITTED, DO NOT RUN OVER" to counter such tragedies as cars running over horses and even the riders.
Since many people cannot empathize with horseback riding in urban areas, we're always looking for help! You can donate or join by emailing notarealemailmwahaha@gmail.com or calling 555-111-1111. Check out the FCHA's blog at tinyurl.com/chromcon. You can also help by lobbying your local city governments to help horsemen ride.
