Why study English?
English is not the study of the English language really. It's waaaaaaay more than that. It's about the power of words and recognising the effect on yourself, and then how you can affect those people around you. Check out this Ted Talk about why poetry (just a form of words) is so powerful. Also, read this Stuff article about how words can define how we see people.
What we want you to be able to do when you are studying English is to learn how powerful your voice is so that you feel confident enough to stand up and use it.
