Steps to Complete Your Planning Template
1. Set Your Topic

Write the main idea at the very top under Topic. In this case, you would write: "Phones should be allowed at school."

In the large middle box, try to come up with 10 different ideas for why phones might be a good thing to have in class. Don't worry if they aren't perfect yet—just get them down!
Think about: Researching for projects, taking photos of the whiteboard, or staying safe on the way home.

Look back at your list of 10 ideas. Put a star next to the three strongest reasons that you think would really convince your teacher or principal.
